Having started with one small steakhouse, Golden Corral Corporation has grown into one of the nation's strongest family restaurant chains. Cheesy Garlic Grits

Golden Coral Copycat Recipe

Makes 10 1/2 Cup Servings

4 cups water
1 cup uncooked quick grits
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
dash paprika

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large 2 quart baking dish with non stick cooking spray.  In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in grits and garlic salt.  reduce heat to medium low. Cover and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Stir in soup, margarine and mix well.  Spread mixture evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly around the edges and the cheese is melted.
